About Me
Growing up in North London, I have always been exposed to diverse cultures and perspectives, which I feel inspires some of my ideas and creativity. Coming from two parents who work in the media industry I have always been passionate and interested ever since, which followed through into me studying media for GCSE. Whilst I wasn’t able to study media at A-Level, it only confirmed for me that media was what I wanted to do, and I missed the license to be creative and expressive through my work. At University, I have been so pleasantly surprised with how fulfilling it has been and how much I have enjoyed creative freedom to make work which I can be proud of and enjoy making.
Outside of education, I have been able to gain some working experience in media. Just after covid I began working at NYCC youth drop in centre, in London, where I worked a media/marketing job entailing; podcasting, YouTube videos and social media making/editing, where I gained greater fulfilment, as not only was I able to develop my skills, but I was also able to meet many disadvantaged people, mostly children who suffer in life from a poor background and came in as their ‘safe space’. Not only did this give me an opportunity to try and make an impact on these people, it also granted me a different perspective, which I feel is important to have. I have also been able to work with Theatro 360 on some trips and shoots where I have been able to grow skills in drone shooting, photo editing, video, 360 degree photography, virtual tour making, which has been integral for me in learning more what it’s like in a professional scene, dealing with clients and their expectations.
